Agribusiness is emerging as a leading sector in bilateral trade between Chile and the United States, and the free trade agreement between the two countries is the catalyst.
The value of U.S. exports has risen 31 percent in the first half of this year, to $1.7 billion.
Some of the top exports include grapes and fish, however wine exports are also increasing.
The U.S.-Chile free trade agreement became effective on January 1, and eliminated tariffs on 95 percent of Chilean exports.
