Q: Does Opening the Southern Border to Mexican Trucks Still Make Sense?

A: The long-delayed NAFTA provision to allow Mexican trucks into the U.S. moved forward this month with the Bush Administration’s decision to run a pilot test next month. U.S. interests claim Mexican trucks don’t comply with U.S. standards and should be banned. But, others say the provision has been stalled long enough.
