REACH and the U.S. Exporter

WHAT IS REACH? REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals.  REACH is a European regulation on chemical management which comes into effect this year. It is complex and wide-ranging in scope. The regulation impacts on every business operation that manufactures substances, formulates mixtures, or produces articles exported to or used in the European Union.   If you are in the supply chain of any production and distribution to any European Union country, your company must pre-register to comply with REACH. The window to pre-register is short—your company must appoint an Only Representative or find an alternative method of pre-registering before the December 1 deadline.
